The only difference is clearly Bloc Party didn’t want to lip sync. The British rock Gods appeared at the Brazil MTV Awards on October 2, 2008. The band took no initiative to cover up they were pretending to play. It was obvious it was not the band’s choice. If it was they would have attempted to look like they were actually playing.
I found this video very entertaining and made me respect them more as artists standing up against the big corporation. Perhaps they will reign longer.
I think that Noel Gallagher should host a chat show. I will admit I’m the first to be sucked into articles about him hating on something new every day. The best part is I agree or laugh because it’s so funny. I really think he’d get high ratings.

After three years together Dirty Pretty Things have announced their separation.
The four-piece band announced exclusively to NME magazine their plans to split after their month long UK tour.
Carl Barat, Didz Hammond, Gary Powell and Anthony Rossomando joined forces in 2005 after The Libertines dismantled in 2004. The foursome is moving on in various direction to pursue new musical projects.
A statement read, “It’s been a glorious three years which we all would gladly live out again, but it is time for us to try new things (not The Libertines).”
Rumor circuits believe The Libertines are reuniting after a quick acoustic performance by former members Pete Doherty and Barat during London’s fashion week at Camden’s Prince of Wales Pub.
Although Barat has been quoted regarding an appearance at Pete Doherty’s Hackney Empire gig in April 2007 on Sunday Mail Live saying, “It reminded me how great we were together and how much unfinished business there is.”
Barat revealed to NME.com his true plans for the future. He has no definite plans but they involve him, a pen and his guitar.
“I’ll carry on writing. If I think what I’m writing is something I want to play to the world, I’ll do it,” he told NME.
