Sunday at Devil Dirt

The unlikely pair Isobel Campbell (of Belle and Sebastian fame) and Mark Lanegan (ex-member of The Screaming Trees) are dropping their second album, “Sunday at Devil Dirt” on November 18 in the U.S.
“Sunday at Devil Dirt” is their follow-up duet album to 2006’s “Ballad of Broken Seas.” The debut release received much critical acclaim as well as a nomination for the Mercury Music Prize.
The unique duo met after Campbell was in search for a deep voice to accompany her on some tracks. Her boyfriend at the time suggest Lanegan… the rest is history.
The duet may seem entirely random, but The Independent says it best noting Campbell “is as bright as Lanegan is dark. Which is why they made such a perfect couple on their first collaboration.”
Although the two have different images, Campbell assures they are very similar souls. To preview the album visit Isobel Campbell’s MySpace.
