Arctic Monkeys Pause and Head Down Under

Published by mellers84 at 11:18 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

The Arctic Monkeys have joined the line-up for the Big Day Out music festival in Auckland on January 16.

“We’ve been twice and both times it’s been our favorite country to play,” drummer Matt Helders said. “We’ve always wanted to do Big Day out, but we’ve never managed it with timing.”

The band is currently in the midst of completing their third, yet untitled, album.

“We thought it’s a bit unorthodox not finishing the album, but why not just do it and think about everything else after cause we’ve never been out in the Australian summer,” Helders justified.

The new album is set for release some time next year, Helders refused details.

“It won’t be the same again, but that’s all I can really say,” he said.
