Oasis Should Have Called it Quits says former member

Published by mellers84 under Uncategorized Edit This

Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, former Oasis guitarist, told The Guardian G2 that Oasis should have broken up in 1996 after two shows at Knebworth.

On August 10 and 11 of that year the band played shows outdoors in front of 250,000 people.

“I always thought we should have bowed out at Knebworth,” he said. “Walking out on that stage is a feeling I can’t explain: a sea of people. Big!”

Bonehead said he left the band in 1999 following an unenjoyable recording of “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants.”

“Liam was on a drinking ban and I wasn’t helping by not sticking to it. Noel had his own problems,” he explained.

Although Bonehead has no interest in rejoining the band, he would enjoy playing live with them again someday.  “I still know the chords to ‘Rock ‘N Roll Star,” he said.

Inspiration behind his line?

Published by mellers84 under Uncategorized Edit This

Liam Gallagher revealed in one of his latest Pretty Green videos that his favorite parka when he was younger was actually stolen by his auntie.

“The first parka I ever got, my auntie worked at a sport center. There was one left behind, an Yves Saint Laurent one, and it was yellow cord and she sort of like, robbed it if you want but it was left behind so she bagsied it,” he said.

“I went to see The Stone Roses in Blackpool in 1989 and I was the only one down there with one, it was yellow cord and it was beautiful.”

All About the Cash

Published by mellers84 under Uncategorized Edit This

Despite bold statements from founding members Ian Brown and John Squire, The Stone Roses former bassist, Mani, said the band will reform if someone would offer them enough money.

“Ian and John have to get it sorted out and take it from there,” Main told The Sun. “For all the morals and principles that people have, you wave fucking 20 million pounds in front of somebody and they change their mind. You’ll see how their philosophies soon change.”

Mani, who currently plays with Primal Scream, said he has given up trying to make a reunion happen himself. “If it doesn’t happen, it’s no skin off my nose as I’m in Primal Scream and having the time of my life.”

No Regrets

Published by mellers84 under Uncategorized Edit This

Johnny Borrell of Razorlight said he thinks the fourth Razorlight album is taking a new direction. “It’s going to be a different sound,” Borrell told The Mirror. “I want to collaborate with someone. I’m thinking a house music extravaganza.”

In other Razorlight news…

Former drummer Andy Burrows broke his silence and has no regrets since leaving the band. “I actually left the band back in January,” Burrows told BANG Showbiz. “But Razorlight is not the be all and end all. It’s not all about f*cking Razorlight, you know!”

When he first left Burrows told the media, “I hated being in the band. Johnny and I didn’t get on. No I’ve got my freedom. He never wanted people to know we both wrote songs and I couldn’t be in control.  I’m happy again now.”

Currently he is working with other artists like We are Scientists.

Fewer Problems with Oasis

Published by mellers84 under Uncategorized Edit This

Sunderland’s police reported only 12 arrests were made at last weekends Oasis show that had a crowd of over 48,000.

Overall the police feel the event was “passed off successfully and safely.”

Apparently Take That’s show the week before was a tad more rowdy thanks to congested Metro stations….
