Chris Martin of Coldplay confirmed to the Philadelphia Inquirer that the band is indeed thinking about/working on the follow-up to Grammy winning “Viva La Vida and the Death of his Friends.”
Martin said the album will be unlike any Coldplay album before and follow a story. “We spend an awful lot of time creating. Maybe it’s because we’re about to turn 33, but I just feel hungry to write all the time.”
He went on to explain that he spends his downtime writing and watching “The Wire.”
“I think at the end of this tour, we may not tour for a while. We may put out a record without quite so much fanfare. I think the next one will be quite stripped-down and based upon this story idea which I can’t talk about because it might be bad.”
Before concluding the album, Martin assured fans he is not going solo anytime soon. “Hell would have to not only freeze over, but be skated over and completely closed up. The pope would have to declare that it didn’t even exist. I can’t think of anything worse.”

Blur is set to make a documentary about their careers. The full-length documentary will discuss every aspect of the band including their years as struggling artists, rise to fame, bitter demise and how they have put everything behind them to reunite.

Coxon said, “I encountered that magic of Blur performances again through sties like YouTube.”
Albarn had a similar experience, “I went online and watched a load of our old stuff just to remind myself what we were like. It just felt right again.
Blur released footage through these websites showing the band rehearsing for their first performance in nine years. The band has a warm up gig in front of 150 on June 13. The band has a string of small “warm up shows” before hitting their official reunion concert in Hyde Park and Glastonbury Festival.
