Liam the Rockstar

Published by mellers84 under Uncategorized Edit This

I can’t help but post something anytime I read the newest clever words out of either Gallagher brothers’ mouth… it makes me smile.  To me pure rock ‘n roll (even if it’s about fashion) is saying what you really think and being real. Not hating on something to be “cool,” it’s all about the demeanor of it.

Liam Gallagher recently launched his Pretty Green line. He told MSN.com he had great reasons behind it. “On one of our websites there is an advert, ‘Buy Oasis-style clothes.’ I clickedo n it and there’s all these idiots ripping off the clothes I’ve been buying so I thought, ‘Right, we’ve got to nail this and do it proper.”

Pretty Green is a line that offers high-end t-shirts, polos, well-tailored parka coats, scarves and knitwear.

It’s not the first time Liam has dabbled in fashion. He offered his services on a catwalk during a Versace show when he was still with his ex-wife Patsy Kensit. “They take themselves fucking seriously, don’t they? I’ve been to one show- a Versace one. Got really pissed. Got really high. Jumped on the catwalk, took the piss out of them. Nearly got shot. I was with the  missus Patsy. And her, what’s she called? Donatella. She was cool. But I’d been drinking and I just got a bit carried away over the whole occasion.”

Please, Liam, forever be a rock star .

Enough already…

Someone else is gaining abnormal publicity for hating on Radiohead….

Sonic Youth thinks it is just horrible and selfish of Radiohead to release an album allowing people to pay as much or little as they want. “I don’t really think they did it by themselves. They did a marketing ploy by themselves and then got someone else to put it out. It seemed really community-oriented, but it wasn’t catered towards their musician brothers and sisters who don’t sell as many records as them. It makes everyone else look bad for not offering their music for whatever,” Kim Gordon said to London’s The Guardian.

Is it really that brother and sister oriented to blast someone in the press because YOU don’t sell albums like Radiohead?
